Shopify App Developer100+ Apps Shipped

We have built more than 100 Shopify apps. Twelve are still ours.

The rest were sold, or handed to the companies that commissioned them. Private apps, public App Store products, backend automation, and the integrations that connect Shopify to whatever else your business runs on.

Capabilities

Five kinds of Shopify build. We do all five.

01Private appsBuilt for one merchant, installed on one store, solving a workflow no public app addresses. No App Store listing, no compromises.
02Public App Store productsMulti-tenant architecture, Shopify billing, GDPR webhooks, and the App Store review process. Shipped over a hundred times.
03Backend automationOrder routing, inventory sync, fulfilment logic, and pricing rules that run without anyone opening the admin.
04AI-enabled appsProduct recommendations, size and fit guidance, demand forecasting, and support agents grounded in your catalogue data.
05Multi-system integrationShopify connected to Salesforce, your ERP, your WMS, and your carriers, with the data model designed rather than improvised.
The hard part

Most Shopify app shops cannot do this part.

The app store is full of storefront widgets. The work that actually gets stuck is connecting Shopify to the systems a real business runs on, and that needs people who understand both sides. Devsinc runs a Salesforce practice alongside the Shopify practice, and has delivered ERP and logistics integrations across both. Same engineers, same building.

Salesforce and Shopify

Customer, order, and product sync between Shopify and Sales, Service, or Commerce Cloud, with identity resolution actually thought through.

Our Salesforce practice →

ERP

Order, inventory, pricing, and financial sync across SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, Odoo, Sage, Candela, Orion, and Retail Pro.

Logistics and fulfilment

Carrier rate logic, label generation, tracking webhooks, multi-warehouse allocation, and cash-on-delivery reconciliation.

Payments

Multi-gateway orchestration, which is a whole product in its own right. UnumPay is the proof.

POS and in-store

Unified inventory and customer records across online and physical retail, so one stock position serves both.

Worked example
The problem

A multi-country retailer selling on Shopify while running customer relationships in Salesforce, with fulfilment split across warehouses in several markets.

The systems

Shopify, Salesforce CRM, the ERP holding stock and pricing, and the warehouse and carrier systems in each country.

What we built

A Salesforce and Shopify integration with identity resolution across both records, plus omnichannel fulfilment routing that allocates each order to the right market and warehouse.

The outcome

One customer record across both systems, and orders allocated to the right warehouse on the day they are placed rather than the day after.

ERPs we have genuinely integrated with Shopify: SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, Odoo, Sage, Candela, Orion, and Retail Pro. If yours is not on that list we will tell you what the integration surface looks like before quoting rather than after.

Two paths

Private or public? It shapes everything.

You need a private app when

The problem is specific to your business, no public app fits without compromise, the logic touches internal systems, or the data cannot leave your control.

Faster to buildYours entirelyNo App Store review

You need a public app when

The problem is shared by other merchants and you want to sell the solution. Multi-tenancy, billing, support, and App Store review all come with it.

A different kind of engagement

Some apps were built to be sold.

Of the hundred-plus apps we have built, most are no longer ours. Some were commissioned and handed over, some were sold as products. If you have an internal tool that other merchants would pay for, or you want to build an App Store product as an asset rather than a feature, that is a path we have taken repeatedly and can take with you.

The twelve we kept.

Each of these came out of a real merchant problem and earned its place on the App Store. Checkout, payments, returns, tracking, content, and logistics.

Process

Four steps, and the fourth is the one that matters later.

01ScopeWe map the workflow, the systems, and the data model before anyone writes code. Fixed-scope proposal at the end.
02BuildTwo-week increments with a working install in your store from the first one.
03ShipPrivate app deployed to your store, or public app taken through App Store review by people who have done it a hundred times.
04RunMonitoring and Shopify API version upgrades handled before the deadline, not after the outage.
FAQs

What buyers ask before commissioning an app

Get an engineering assessment
What is the difference between a private and a public Shopify app?+
A private app is built for one merchant and installed on their store only. A public app is a product: multi-tenant architecture, Shopify billing, GDPR webhooks, support, and App Store review. Private is faster and entirely yours. Public is an asset you can sell.
How much does it cost to build a Shopify app?+
Scope drives the number, so we quote after scoping. A private app automating one workflow sits at the low end. A public multi-tenant App Store product sits considerably higher.
How long does a Shopify app take to build?+
A focused private app typically runs six to ten weeks from scope to install. A public App Store product runs three to five months including review preparation.
Can you integrate Shopify with Salesforce?+
Yes, and it is the integration we are asked for most. We sync customers, orders, and products between Shopify and Sales, Service, or Commerce Cloud.
Can you integrate Shopify with our ERP?+
We have delivered Shopify integrations with SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, Odoo, Sage, Candela, Orion, and Retail Pro.
Do you help get apps through Shopify App Store review?+
Yes. We have passed App Store review more than a hundred times, and review is where most app projects stall.
Who owns the app you build for us?+
You do. Source code, repository, and the Partner account listing are yours, handed over on completion.
Can you take over an existing app somebody else built?+
Yes, and it is a large part of what we do. We start with a code and architecture audit and give you the cost of continuing versus replacing.
What happens when Shopify changes its API?+
Apps we run are on monitoring with version upgrades handled before the deadline rather than after the outage.

Engineering assessment

Tell us what you need built.

Send us the workflow, the systems it has to touch, and what it needs to do. You get an engineering assessment and a scoped proposal, not a discovery call that turns into a sales sequence.

  • Read by an engineer who has shipped App Store products
  • We will say if a public app already solves it and you do not need us
  • Fixed-scope proposal, and the app is yours
